In Christ Alone (Brian Littrell)

An all time favourite that speaks of our total trust in Him.

Chorus:
In Christ alone, I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the cross.

Verse:
In every vic-tor-y let it be said of me
My source of strength, my source of hope
Is Christ alone.

Hi Alex,

Recently, a friend of mine shared with me a very meaningful hymn. This hymn has touched me & encouraged me. The writer of this song is Ron Hamilton. He had cancer in his left eye when he wrote this song. Despite his illness, he was still able to write this hymn entitled "Rejoice In The Lord". I pray that the words of this hymn will also encourage you & Jo the way that it has encouraged me. The words of the hymn are as follow:

WORDS & MUSIC: Ron Hamilton

REJOICE IN THE LORD

God never moves without purpose or plan
When trying His servant and molding a man.
Give thanks to the Lord though your testing seems long;
In darkness He giveth a song.

CHORUS:
O rejoice in the Lord. He makes no mis-take.
He knoweth the end of each path that I take.
For when I am tried and puri-fied,
I shall come forth as gold.

I could not see through the shadows ahead;
So I looked at the cross of my Savior instead.
I bowed to the will of the Master that day;
Then peace came and tears fled away.

(REPEAT CHORUS)

Now I can see testing comes from above;
God strengthens His children and purges in love.
My Father knows best, and I trust in His care;
Through purging more fruit I will bear.

(REPEAT CHORUS)

You can read about Ron Hamilton's testimony by going to Http://www.patchthepirate.org/pages/piratefs.html . The music file provided on the webpage doesn't seem to work however. But I found another site that has the tune playing in the background. You may wish to visit the site at Http://www.our.homewithgod.com/ewerluvd/momma.htm to listen to it.

May God continue to encourage & help you & Joanne find comfort & peace through His word.
